Cheesecake Cookie Bars
Happy Valentine's Day! Today is a great day to celebrate with the people you love and to show them how much you care! Actually, every day is a good day to do that;) What better way to show someone you love them than by making them some homemade treats? I love things that are home made. These cheesecake bars are super easy to make and can be in the oven in under 20 minutes. Add a little bit of food colouring to make them extra special for Valentines Day.
Main Ingredients
4 oz cream cheese
1/4 cup butter
1 egg
3/4 cup sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1 cup flour
1/2 cup oreo crumbs
1 cup chocolate chips
2 drops red food colouring
Preparation
Step 1: Preheat oven to 350F
Step 2: Soften cream cheese and butter in microwave, about 30 seconds should do it. You want them soft, not melted.
Step 3: Cream butter and cream cheese together until smooth. Add egg and sugar and mix well.
Step 4: Add flour and baking powder. Beat all ingredients together. Add food colouring and mix until the colour is uniform and pink.
Step 5: Add oreo crumbs, mixing just until incorporated.
Step 6: Spread into a greased 9x9 inch pan.
Step 7: Bake for 20 minutes.
Step 8: Melt chocolate chips and drizzle over top.
