Tres Leche

Tres Leche cake or Three milk Cake is a delicious south american cake recipe. A dense vanilla cake soaked in three types of milk and topped with whip cream...can we say amazing?!! This cake is kept refrigerated so it makes a fantastic summer dessert. Enjoy this one and don't count the calories;)

Main Ingredients

1 1/2 cups all purpose flour

1 1/2 tsp baking powder

1/2 cup butter

1 cup sugar

5 Eggs 

1/2 tsp vanilla

2 cups whole milk

1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk

1 (12 oz) can evaporated milk

1 1/2 cups whipping cream

1 cup sugar

 

Preparation

  1. Preheat open to 350F.
  2. In a large bowl stir flour and baking powder. Set aside.
  3. In a clean bowl cream together butter, first amount of sugar, eggs and vanilla.
  4. Slowly add to the four mixture while blending. Mix well.
  5. Spread into a greased 9x13 pan.
  6. Bake for 30 minutes.
  7. While cake is baking beat whip cream and sugar together until stiff peaks form. Set in fridge.
  8. When cake is done pierce all over with a fork. Allow to cool.

 

  1. Mix together whole milk, condensed milk and evaporated milk. Pour this mixture all over the cooled cake.
  2. Spread whip cream over top of cake. Sprinkle with cinnamon.

 

3. Keep refrigerated until ready to serve.
