Dutch Chocolate Cookies

If you are looking for something a little different in the cookie department, look no further! These cookies are soft and chewy, a texture like a gingersnap, but with a rich chocolate flavour. It smells amazing while these are baking and it makes a big batch, which means you can freeze some for later!

Main Ingredients

1 cup butter

2 cups sugar

2 Eggs 

3/4 cup cocoa

2 cups flour

1 tsp baking soda

salt

1 tsp vanilla

sugar for coating

 

Preparation

Step 1: Preheat oven to 350F

Step 2: Cream together softened butter, sugar and eggs.

Step 3: Add cocoa and mix well.

Step 4: Add flour, baking soda and salt. Blend well.

Step 5: Add vanilla.

Step 6: Form dough into balls and roll each one in sugar.

 

Step 7: Place on cookie sheet and bake for 10 minutes.

Yield 5 dozen
