Sautéed Green Beans with Walnuts and Feta

A super easy recipe that makes a great side dish. No more soggy, boiled green beans! I used to hate green beans. I refused to cook them and once I got my own garden I didn't grow them. NO thank you! No soggy green beans for me! But then I came across a recipe for sautéed green beans and I was hooked. I have been playing around with this recipe a bit and this is one of my favourites. Take your green beans to the next level. These are full of flavour, crisp and tangy.

All you will need is:

1 pkg frozen green beans

1/2 cup chopped walnuts

2 tbsp olive oil

1/4 cup  water

1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese

1 tsp dried basil

Salt and Pepper

Over medium heat sauté green beans in olive oil. Initially I recommend adding 1/4 cup water and putting the lid on your sauce pan. This allows the beans to steam cook for about 5 minutes.

Remove the lid and sauté until tender. You want your beans tender but not soft and soggy.

Add chopped walnuts and feta. Stir. Remove from heat. Season with basil, salt an pepper.
