Chocolate Chip Brownie Tarts
These are so amazing and so easy. My 11 year old son made these for us the other night and they turned out awesome. If you are tired of plan old cookies give these a try. They look so neat and they taste delicious. Chocolate chip cookie dough for a tart shell and a soft, moist brownie centre...even better served with ice cream.
Main Ingredients
For cookie tart:
1/3 cup softened butter
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 cup flour
pinch of salt
1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
Brownie filling:
1/3 cup softened butter
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1 egg
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/4 cup flour
Preparation
Step 1: Preheat oven to 350F
Step 2: Mix together the butter, brown sugar and egg for the cookie layer. Mix until smooth and creamy.
Step 3: Add flour and salt and mix again.
Step 4: Add chocolate chips and stir until just incorporated.
Step 5: Grease a tart pan or muffin tin. If you are using a regular sized muffin tin you will only get between 6-8 tarts. If you are using a tart size pan you can get 12.
Step 6: Take a spoonful of cookie batter and press into tin, shaping up the sides to form a cup.
Step 7: In a separate bowl mix the ingredients for the brownie batter. Mix it until the lumps are gone but don't over mix.
Step 8: Carefully spoon brownie batter inside cookie dough cups. Try to have the brownie batter level with the top of the cookie dough.
