Chicken Bombs
These are a savoury chicken appetizer that are reminiscent of a creme puff in texture. Absolutely delicious and versatile! They can be used as a side dish, appetizer and are great for potluck or picnic. I even love them cold in my lunch the next day.
To begin here is what you will need:
2 cups cooked diced chicken
1/4 cup toasted slivered almonds
1 cup chicken broth
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 tbs dried basil
1 tsp celery salt
3 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1/4 tsp paprika
1 cup all purpose flour
4 eggs
To begin preheat oven to 450F
Mix chicken and almonds in a bowl and set aside.
Combine next 5 ingredients in a sauce pan. Over med-high heat bring to a boil.
Remove from heat and add flour all at once. You will need to stir quite vigorously as the dough will be sticky and a bit tough
Now add eggs one at a time stirring well in between each egg. Dough will become shiny and smooth. Add chicken and almonds in.
Drop by teaspoon onto a cookie sheet.
Bake for 12- 15 minutes. Allow to cool and serve with your favourite dipping sauce!
